Ghana Health Service ready for Covid-19 immunisation rollout on Tuesday, March 2

The Minister of Health nominee, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, has again urged the public to avail themselves of the covid-19 vaccination because refusal to take the vaccine puts other persons at risk.

He warned that peddling false information on social media and other platforms does not augur well for the country in the fight against the pandemic.

Mr. Agyeman-Manu was speaking at the official launch of the Mask Up A Child Campaign in Accra.

He noted that the media has to support Government’s efforts in propagating the agenda on the vaccine rollout which begins on Tuesday, March 2.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health nominee, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu has been speaking about Tuesday’s Vaccination Exercise.

He expressed the Ghana Health Service’s readiness for the exercise, adding that, the sector is selecting segments of the population on the vaccine rollout in Accra and Kumasi as well as other Regions.

Some 43 districts that have been identified as the epicentres of the spread of Covid-19 will be vaccinated. There are 25 districts in Greater Accra, 16 in Ashanti as well as two others in the Central Region who will be the first to get the vaccines.
