Ghana Health Service takes delivery of 50,000 more covid-19 vaccines

The Ghana Health Service today took delivery of 50,000 more vaccines to complete the vaccination for the rest of the frontline staff who are yet to receive their jabs.

This was disclosed to GBC News by the Manager, Extended Programme on Immunization, Dr. Kwame Amponsah-Achiano. He told Nathaniel Nartey that the current process is reserved solely for frontline workers adding that it will be opened to the public from Mid-March.

Dr. Amposah-Achinao addressed the issue of whether or not health personnel administering the Covid-19 jabs are supposed to wear gloves.

He explained that per the standard protocols, health personnel are not supposed to wear gloves when administering jabs.
