One hundred and 22 people are diagnosed with Tuberculosis on daily basis and out of these figure 27 infected patients die.

The National Secretary of the Ghana National TB Voice Network, Jerry Larbi disclosed this at a sensitization and free TB screening exercise in Kumasi.

The National President of TB Voice Network said 45 thousand people are suppose to be diagnosed so they put them in a treatment and make sure they are cured, but because of stigma and lack of awareness, only 15 thousand are able to diagnose nationally, leaving additional 30 thousand people undiagnosed.

Mr. Larbi expressed fear of epidemics if urgent attention is not given by government and all key stakeholders saying, those people would keep on suffering and spread the bacteria and disease.

The programme attracted youth groups in Bantama, Asokwa, Subin, Manhyia North and South to create public awareness, compete in a soccer competition, amid voluntary testing was partnered by Aurum Institute of Ghana and Afro Global Alliance.
