A Ghanaian Nurse resident in the US is reported to have died of Coronavirus.
The former Head Nurse of the Jacobi Medical Center’s Psychiatric Unit in New York is reported to have been concerned about the lack of coronavirus precautions and testing while working at the hospital, only to end up dying of the disease weeks later.
Kwame Ocran, her 25-year-old son who disclosed this to journalists in New York said her mother, 50-year-old, Freda Ocran of the Bronx had concerns about working with patients and other staff and how long it took to be tested.
Colleague nurses are reported to have gone on a demonstration outside the hospital in demand for more protective gear.
