Government has established a committee to formulate a concrete plan for vaccine development and manufacturing in Ghana.
The Committee will be chaired by the former Minister for the Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng.
On the number of students infected with the virus, President Akufo-Addo said out of 69,350 schools in the country, 207 have reported cases of infections.
He said all restrictions announced during his last address remain in force, and the Police should continue to ensure compliance by all and sundry.
