ln response to a biblical advise, plants are today being used to treat a number of health concerns and conditions.

These include allergies, malaria, menstrual pains, hernia, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues and even cancer proving that they are truly medicine.

Herbs are less expensive and a safer means of treatment than conventional medications, which is why so many people are choosing to go back to this traditional means of treatment.

Herbal medicines have been used alongside orthodox medicine and many continue to rely on it for their health care, despite the increasing use of orthodox medicine in Ghana.

Herbal medicine has played a significant role in health care delivery, since time immemorial and the Ghana Health Service has adopted it as part of its medicines for treatment of patients.
