The Ghana Health Service (GHS) says it has recorded 13 new cases of Mpox as of January 25, 2026, bringing the tally of confirmed cases nationwide to 993.

However, the GHS says the number of deaths remains at seven (7), with no current admissions recorded.

In a post on X on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, it indicated that the latest update reflects a rise in reported cases over the past few weeks.

GHS is therefore urging the general public to observe good personal hygiene and to seek immediate medical attention at the nearest health facility if they experience symptoms associated with Mpox.

The Service cautioned that Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with infected persons. Common symptoms include fever, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, and skin rashes.
