Almost all the Covid-19 vaccines in stock have been deployed for immunization. This includes the first batch of 600,000 doses from the COVAX facility and the 50,000 doses from the Government of India.
This was revealed by the Manager of the Extended Programme on Immunisation at the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Kwame Amponsah-Achiano in an interview with Radio Ghana.
Mr. Amponsah-Achiano admitted a delay in the supply of Covid-19 vaccines. He told Nathaniel Nartey this is a global issue as manufacturers of the vaccines are struggling with securing the needed raw materials for production.
