Manager of the Expanded Programme on Immunization at the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Kwame Amponsah-Achiano has given assurance that no Ghanaian will be vaccinated with expired vaccines.
This comes as concerns were raised that Ghana is set to receive expired vaccines from other countries.
It also follows allegations that WHO asked African countries not to destroy expired vaccines as research is being conducted on the possibility of using expired vaccines.
Dr Amponsah-Achiano said FDA will examine each batch of the vaccine before administration to the public.
He told Nathaniel Nartey, that the next batch of vaccines expected today will focus on those who have had their first dose already.
