Parents urged to keep children warm as seasonal flu increases

There is a general increase of number of people, especially children reporting to the country hospitals with upper tract respiratory infections.

With symptoms mimicking that of Covid-19, a Specialist Pediatrician at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Hilda Boye has called on parents to ensure that children are kept warm at all times.

She said any child with symptoms like cough that gets worse, headache, tiredness, sore throat and severe body aches must be given prompt medical attention.

She said quick treatment can prevent serious flu complications.
