Police Hospital to close some departments for fumigation exercise

The Police Hospital will shut down some departments of the facility to make way for a fumigation exercise this weekend.

Head of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Hospital, DSP Yaw Nketia-Yeboah in an interview said the exercise is part of planned measures by the Ghana Health Service to disinfect all health facilities in the fight against COVID-19. The departments to be disinfected this weekend will re-open on Sunday.

DSP Nketia-Yeboah gave the assurance all emergency cases that will come in within the period of the fumigation exercise, will be handled.

The departments to be disinfected include the laboratory, pathology, OPD, administration, pharmacy and dental blocks. The exercise is expected to continue in the first weekend of April.
