A Senior Public Health Specialist at the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Kwame Amponsah Achiano says the polio vaccination exercise which started today (October 16) in the Northern Region is as a result of an actual case of a child paralysing from the polio disease.
Dr. Achiano explained that the vaccination is not being done in the Greater Accra Region this time round because the Ghana Health Service has covered the region and is now focusing on the north where the case is imminent.
He noted that the exercise will end on the 19th of October, 2019.
