The Ghana Health Service says more than 200,000 Ghanaians have received the COVID-19 vaccine so far.

Programme Manager on Immunization at the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Kwame Amponsa-Achiano noted that turnout for the vaccination has been impressive and encouraged the public to take the jab.

Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye said general adherence to laid down protocols has led to an improvement in the Covid-19 situation in the country.

Active cases have seen a marginal decline from over eight thousand to less than five thousand over the past four weeks. There is also decline in daily reported cases from 800 to about four hundred cases within the same period.

This has reflected in daily admissions at the hospitals which has seen a major decline.
