Concerns have been raised about the lack of priority care to pregnant women and persons with psychosocial needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is because these categories of persons are said to have faced high levels of stress, as a result of restrictions during the pandemic.

These concerns were raised by Basic Needs Ghana to mark World Mental Health Day today.

The Knowledge Management and Communications Officer for Basic Needs, Fred Nantogmah, is of the view that the Mental Health Fund is long overdue, and commended the Minister of Health for taking action.
