Holy Child Senior High School has emerged as champions of the 2026 National Girls’ Speech and Debate Championship (NGSDC) after excelling through a series of highly competitive debate rounds. At the grand finale, Founder of the NGSDC, Dora Badu Owusu-Adomah, praised the participants for demonstrating confidence, resilience and leadership throughout the competition.

“Our mission remains to educate, empower and encourage young women. This year, we challenged you to be intentional, informed and inspired, and you answered with courage, critical thinking and purpose,” she said.
Mrs. Owusu-Adomah stressed that the championship is not merely about winning trophies but about building confidence, sharpening minds and preparing young women to become future leaders.

She also thanked partners, teachers and parents for investing in girls’ education, noting that empowering young women today creates the leaders Ghana needs tomorrow.

Patron of the championship and legal practitioner, Mrs. Mawuena Dumelo Esq., encouraged participants to dream bigger and pursue leadership roles, expressing confidence that many of the young debaters would one day serve Ghana with distinction.

The National Girls’ Speech and Debate Championship continues to provide a platform for girls across the country to develop public speaking, critical thinking and leadership skills while inspiring the next generation of female changemakers.
