The National House of Chiefs is set to go digital with its work in a bid to reduce the number of Chieftaincy disputes in the country.

The Chieftaincy institution is collating and digitizing all cases handled by the courts as well as the House of Chiefs.

The President of the National House Of Chiefs, Torgbui Afede made this known when the Standing committee of the House called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House in Accra.

The visit follows a similar one made last year in which Government and the Chiefs pledged to work together for the socio economic development of the country.

It was also an opportunity for the House to update the President on its work and challenges being confronted.

The President of the National House Of Chiefs Torgbui Afede said the House is delivering on its mandate of helping to unite the people, maintaining the peace and support the government development agenda.

This has led to the establishment of the six outstanding committees.

They are research and traditional affairs, lands and environment, finance and infrastructure, legal, governance and development and the external relations. He announced the establishment of an endowment fund to get the necessary resources in it’s conflict resolution efforts.

Torgbui Afede said one of the transformation being implement by the cherished institution of Chieftaincy is the digitization of its work. This will reduce the number of chieftaincy cases.

President Akufo-Addo did not hide his administration for the Chieftaincy institution and expressed the commitment of government to continue to work with them.

The 2018 winners of the converted National Science and Maths Quiz also paid a courtesy call on the President. This follows an international science quite in.Portugal where the three took part.
