The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, on Monday, 31st August 2026, invited Inspector Hance Atubra of the Tarkwa Divisional Headquarters to the National Police Headquarters in Accra, where he decorated him with his new rank of Chief Inspector.
Inspector Atubra was promoted in recognition of his bravery and exceptional efforts in saving lives and protecting property during a fire outbreak at Aboso in the Western Region on 26th August 2026.
The IGP commended Inspector Atubra for his courage, quick response and dedication to duty, noting that his actions exemplify the values of professionalism, bravery and service expected of officers of the Ghana Police Service.
The promotion and decoration serve as a fitting recognition of an officer who demonstrated exceptional courage and commitment to duty in the face of danger.
