The Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery, has commended the Ghana Immigration Service for its efforts in reducing illegal travelling by Ghanaians.
According to him, the number of Ghanaians crossing into Europe illegally has reduced from five thousand in 2016 to less than 500 last year.
Mr. Dery made these comments in Accra at the launch of a five million Euro project to strengthen border security in Ghana.
He expressed confidence that the project will help to bring the number of illegal travels down to the barest minimum.
