The Concerned Citizens Association of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Likpe and Lolobi (SALL) has urged government to create a separate district for their area as soon as the President issues a constitutional instrument for the results of the just ended referendum to take effect.

According to them, the four communities would be hanging in the balance when administrative works begins in the newly created Oti Region since they will not be part of the Hohoe Municipality out of which the four communities were carved out.

This was announced at a press conference held at Likpe Mata in the Hohoe Municipality by the Association to thank citizens in the area for their solidarity.

It was chaired by the Coordinator of SALL’s organising committee, Paul Eduh Somevi.

He stressed that the people of SALL like other communities in the Oti region are poised to work hard to turn around their fortunes but will need a district assembly to spearhead the agenda.

Meanwhile, the chiefs and people of Likpe have urged government to fix the bad road network that connect all the SALL communities.

A Senior Divisional Chief of Likpe, Nana Bulley Osai said that is the major challenge that affects development in the four communities.
