Global InfoAnalytics has predicted a decisive victory for Hajia Amina Adam in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary for the Ayawaso East constituency, Today Saturday, February 7, 2026.
According to polling data released by the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, Hajia Amina Adam—widow of the late Member of Parliament, Mahama Naser Toure—commands about 54 per cent support among delegates, placing her well ahead of her closest rival.
The poll projects that former Deputy Minister Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed is likely to secure no more than 38 per cent of the vote.
Mr Dankwah stated that the likelihood of a late surge altering the outcome of the contest is minimal. He noted that even with a margin of error of 3.2 per cent, Hajia Amina Adam remains firmly in the lead.
The pollster also addressed internal debates within the party regarding her candidature. Survey results show that 66 per cent of general NDC supporters in Ayawaso East and 58 per cent of delegates disagree with claims that it is inappropriate for her to contest the seat following her husband’s death.
According to Mr Dankwah, this suggests that attempts by some party actors to discourage her bid have failed to resonate at the grassroots level, describing it as a misreading of the constituency’s local political dynamics.
With voting taking place today, the Global InfoAnalytics projection positions Hajia Amina Adam as the clear favourite to emerge as the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso East.
