The National Organiser of the Agriculture Educators and Trainers Association of Ghana, Eric Yaw Amponsah, has expressed worry that Agriculture as a subject of study at the JHS level is receiving less attention, despite being the backbone of the Ghanaian Economy.

The lack of interest in Agriculture, he said, has transcended to Senior High Schools and the Universities as well.

Speaking in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana in Sunyani, he attributed the disinterest to the withdrawal of Agriculture as a subject in the GES Curriculum.
