In commemoration of Founder’s Day, a day set aside to honour Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, has been declared a public holiday.
The Ministry of Interior in a statement said Friday, September 21, 2018, which marks the birthday of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, be observed as such throughout the country.
Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first prime minister and president of Ghana, was born on September 21, 1909 – April 27, 1972.
He was a visionary leader who led Ghana to independence from Britain in 1957.
