Another person has been arrested in connection with the on-going kidnap case of three girls at the Takoradi Market Circle District Court in the Western Region.

The suspect whose name was only given as KODA, 21 was arrested at Ekurasi a community in Koforidua in the Eastern Region following prime suspect, Samuel Wills assertion that he is a part of his team.

GBC’s Western Regional Correspondent, Marie Aziz Tunde reports that when the court called the case Monday March 4, 2019 a National Security Operative, Boakye Abeam told the court Samuel Wills told them KODA is part of his team and can help trace Kwesi, who according to him ,helped him with the assistance of a police CID to escape from lawful custody on December 30.

Abeam mentioned that the National security operatives together with Samuel Wills went to Ekurasi in the Eastern Region where KODA was arrested.

Meanwhile, the alleged kidnapper who was almost lynched by a frustrated crowd outside the court mentioned that he has vital information for the court but will require the presence of a lawyer. .

In his closing remarks Presiding Judge Michael Ampadu charged the investigators to also consider the authenticity of the leads of Samuel Wills and advise the court in the next sitting.

According to him , that will guide the court on whether to take the leads of Samuel Wills serious or not as there is growing concern that Samuel Wills could be delaying the court’s time.

Police personnel who escorted Samuel Wills had a tough time taking him away as an angry and frustrated crowd outside nearly lynched him.

Mother of kidnapped Ruthlove Quayson, who appeared in court for the first time, struggled with the police asking that she should be allowed to question Samuel Wills on the whereabouts of her daughter. The case has been adjourned to April 4.
