The Ghana Fencing Association (GFA) has signed an agreement with the Italian Fencing Federation (IFF) to host two Ghanaian fencers for one month, as part of preparations toward three international competitions.

The three international competitions include, World Championship 2019 Budapest in Hungary, Africa Games in Morocco this year and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The agreement was part of the protocol signed between the two federations in 2015 and they are expected to provide free accommodation, feeding and training for the fencers.

Mr. Mohammed Mahadi, the President of the GFA said the association was also in talks with Hungary and other countries to host the rest of the fencers in the team.

The two fencers would be hosted in Sicily, Italy from June to July 2019.
