Authorities of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, have refuted speculations that a team of students from the University’s Faculty of Pharmacy has successfully developed a vaccine for the Coronavirus.

According to the information, the Team under the supervision of one Prof. Israel Nluki, had come up with a vaccine against the Coronavirus that originated from China and fast spreading to other parts of the world.

The message indicates that the vaccine has been successfully tried on a patient in Cote d’Ivoire and is projected to fully recover within 48 hours.

However, a statement issued in Kumasi by the University’s Relations Officer, Dr. Daniel Bekoe, emphasised that checks at the said Faculty showed that no such discovery has been made and that even the said Supervisor of the project, Professor Israel Nluki, is not known at the University.
