More Jobs and Roads in 2020-MP

The Member of parliament for Cape Coast North, Ms. Barbara Asher Ayisi says government has created job opportunities for 15,000 teachers due to the existence of NABCO and 18,000 students across the nation have had chance to Free Senior High School, Double track system.

Ms. Barbara said President Akufo-Addo’s government has the younger generation at heart.

“The president will invest in the future of the children in order to eradicate the level of illiteracy in Ghana,” she disclosed after Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta delivered the 2020 budget to parliament November 13.

She stated that the government has plans to give jobs to the nurses who complete the Nursing training before 2020 election commences.

According to her, “the Ghanaian populace don’t forget easily. They always remember what past governments have done.”

The MP said the Ghanaian populace do not have the illness of forgetfulness; the budget read by the Minister of Finance state emphatically that there will be ‘no tax’.

According to her, the purpose of the ‘no tax’ is to help decrease the interest rate, especially students entrepreneurs and young people who own businesses.

“It will create an avenue for them to get loan from the banks to invest and grow their corporate entities.”

Ms. Ayisi further stated that the Akufo-Addo administration has the initiatives, decision and developmental projects which will develop the nation.

“In my constituency Cape coast North, we have 30km road,” she said.

For his part, a Deputy Minister for Trade and MP for Tema West, Mr. Ahenkorah Kingsley Carlos says the budget read by the Minister for Finance, Mr. Ken Ofori Atta is the plans for the New Patriotic Party in 2020.

“NPP administration will ensure development and better Ghana as the Finance Minister said, Akufo-Addo government is here to stay.”

Meanwhile, the NDC Zongo Coordinator for Nkwanta North, Wasa Constituency, Mr. Alhassan Abubakar says a lot has been said in the 2020 Budget, what matters to the people of Ghana is the infrastructural development.

The Coordinator said the uncompleted projects of Former President John Dramani Mahama has been left untouched.

“The government should complete it to serve as in house for those who were not able to get hostels and dormitory in the various senior high schools.”

According to him, his expectations were not met.

“I thought the Budget will focus on developmental initiatives in the Zongo area but nothing was mention.”

He further stated that government should ensure development in the Oti Region and Nkwanta community.

He pleaded to the government construct more roads.
