The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has distributed hundreds of Veronica buckets to MMDAs in the Northern Region, as part of measures to combat COVID-19.
The buckets are to be placed at vantage points across communities to encourage regular hand washing.
The Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama, at a short ceremony in Tamale, entreated citizens to make use of the buckets to prevent an outbreak of the disease in the region.
