NDC calls for prosecution of officials involved in PDS transaction

The opposition National Democratic Congress, (NDC), has kicked against government’s decision to use restrictive tendering to select new Local Private Investors in the ECG Concession  Deal.

According to the party, the government in recent times has consistently abused the Public Procurement Law through sole sourcing and restrictive tendering transactions leading to a number of scandals.

Addressing a news conference in Accra, on Monday, October 22, 2019, the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, called for a forensic audit to determine how much the country has lost financially, and also identify the government officials whose conduct have brought what the party said is an embarrassment to the country for prosecution.
