NDC Primaries: Alexander Ackuaku beats 5 other contenders to win Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfro

Alexander Ackuaku has won the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries for the Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfro constituency beating his five other contenders.

Alexander Ackuaku who in 2012 and 2016 contested  in the okaikoi south constituency but lost in all polled 418 votes beating his closer rival Felix Akwetey Nii Okle who polled 362 votes. Alfred Agbamey Tettey had 11 votes.

Three other contestants Adams Dickson Abu had 50 votes, Sheriff Nii Oto Dodoo polled 2 votes, Peter Nana Asiedu, 71 votes and Anthony Kwame Kuagbenu had zero.

The total vote cast was 917, two spoiled ballot and one rejected ballot. In his victory speech Mr. Ackuaku said winning the primaries is just the beginning of the real battle in 2020.

He called on the other candidates to the primaries behind them and assist him to win the seat for the party in 2020
