NDC Primaries: More than 50% eligible voters of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency cast votes

More than fifty percent of about one thousand 500 eligible voters of the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency of the Western North Region had exercised their franchise as at 11 am to choose their Parliamentary candidate.

Two persons namely Stephen Donkor,a Chattered Accountant and Stephen  Kingsley Bennieh, a Law student, are contesting for the parliamentary seat in the constituency on the ticket of NDC.

The voters comprise former MPs,  Ministers and MMDCEs, Council of Elders as well as Regional, Constituency and Ward Executives, drawn from 162 branches of the party.

According to the Constituency Chairman of NDC, Kofi Ankomah, everything went on smoothly except the disappearance of some supporters ‘names while others also appeared twice.

He said that problem will be solved before the close of the day to enable such executives cast their ballots.

The Security personnel made up of the military and police were at the polling station at the Bibiani Anglican School maintaining law and order while the branches which had voted were returning to their destinations.
