Nestle and Ashoka Commence Social Investment program in Africa

Nestle and Ashoka have announced the commencement of social investments program and entrepreneurship to boost economic development in Africa.

The initiative supports Nestlé’s global youth, seeking to enhance quality life and contribute to a healthier future as well as ambition to help 10 million young people around the world and access to economic opportunities by 2030.

Entrepreneurs from Ghana, Benin, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda and South Africa would have the opportunity of learning new methods that will help in enhancing their business and investments.

Also, Social entrepreneurs would be working on the field of Agriculture, Nutrition, E-Commence, Education, water and Sanitation.

 According to Mr. Kayode Oladapo, Category and Marketing-Coffee Nestle Nigeria, “a selected member of employee experts including legal affairs, accounting, business support, technology and marketing across the continent would be mentoring these entrepreneurs for five months.”

 He noted that, the group selected in Benin and project Maji Designs, Maintenance and sustainability Africa (MAS) in Ghana would prepare a final submission to Angel and social impact investors to access financing.
