New Headmaster for Hohoe EP SHS

The Acting Moderator of the General Assembly of the EP Church, Ghana, Rev Samuel Amoako, has challenged people entrusted with leadership positions to serve God and man and not as an opportunity to amass wealth.

He said when leaders are committed to their duties and responsibilities as well as those they serve, the country will be transformed positively.

Rev. Amoako expressed these sentiments in a sermon at the induction ceremony of a new Headmaster for Hohoe EP Senior High School in the Volta Region.

The new Headmaster of Hohoe EP Senior High School, HEPSS, Franklin Amesimeku, is a former student of the Mafi- Kumasi Senior High Technical School and holds a Bachelor of Education in administration from the University of Cape Coast.

He was the Assistant Headmaster of Mafi-Kumasi Senior Technical School in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region between 2007 and 2017.

In October 2017, Mr Amesimeku became the 8th headmaster of three town Senior High School at Denu till January 2019. His induction and investiture makes him the twelfth headmaster of Hohoe Senior High School since it was established sixty years ago.

The Acting moderator of the EP church, Rev. Samuel Amoako, noted that the increasing rate of crime in the country can be linked to the uneven distribution of resources adding that the situation can negatively affect the youth. He urged the new headmaster to collaborate with the staff and stakeholders of the school to achieve the goals and targets of the school.

The Volta Regional Director of Education, Enyonam Amafugah, lauded the EP church for its contribution to the education sector in the country. She also commended the immediate past headmaster of the school, Cephas Edu-sei for his contribution to the development of the school. Madam Amafugah urged the new headmaster to exhibit diplomacy, in the discharge of his duties.

The new headmaster, Franklin Amesimeku in his acceptance speech commended his predecessor for his achievements and pledged to continue from where he left off to further develop the school. He noted that his administration will work to reverse the downward performance of the school in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination in recent years.

 Mr Amesimeku added that he will ensure a high level of discipline in order to produce responsible adults and human resource for the country.
