Co-ordinator for the Normalisation Committee’s Special Women’s Completion, Naa Odofoley Nortey, says she is impressed with the organisation of the Special Women’s Competition. She was speaking at the MATS park in Teshie after Police Ladies recorded their second game in the competition.

The competition which entered Match Day 2 on Wednesday March 13, saw Ashtown Ladies, Police Ladies and Halifax Ladies winning their home matches.

Coincidentally, in Group C, Sea Lions and Soccer Intellectuals recorded away victories. The competition was organised for players to justify their inclusion for the All Africa Games and WAFU Zone B tournament.

According to Naa Odofoley, “honestly, for now, from the little I have seen, I can say it is going really well. I’m very happy with the organisation and enthusiasm the teams have put in. You can see the team are really playing their hearts out. They have taken this tournament very seriously and I like the way they are going by everything.”

Match day 3 of the competition will be honored at various centres this weekend.
