NPP doing a lot to strengthen anti-corruption institutions- Information Minister

The Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has revealed that the NPP Government has been doing a lot to strengthen institutions that matter in the fight against corruption.

He said the President is set to highlight some of these measures, and where Ghana is currently in the fight against corruption when he addresses the Annual Conference of the Ghana Bar Association, (GBA), in Takoradi on Monday, September 9, 2019.

Mr. Oppong Nkrumah also said Government is set to implement measures that will attract the Youth into Agriculture through the promotion of Agribusiness.

He was speaking at a News Conference in Techiman, the Bono East Regional Capital on Sunday, September 8.

The press conference was to throw more light on the next in a series of Town Hall Meetings organised by the Information Ministry which is scheduled in Techiman, the Bono East Capital on Monday.

Joining Media Practitioners for the exercise, were the Bono East Regional Minister, Kofi Amoakohene and the Techiman MCE, John Donyina.

Addressing the Conference, the Information Minister, Kojo  Oppong Nkrumah, said the key areas to be highlighted at the Town Hall Meeting are the fight against corruption, acquisition of a loan to complete the Bolga Regional Hospital Project, measures to boost agriculture through use of the Greenhouse Farming Technology and Strategies for transforming Agriculture from the subsistence level to an Agribusiness paradigm.

The Information Minister also stressed that going forward facts should be the in-thing so far as corruption is concerned.

He also touched on Government plants to transform agriculture from the subsistence level.
