Outgoing Chief Justice stresses need to maintain standards in legal education

The Outgoing Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo has stressed the need to maintain high standards in legal education in the country.

Speaking at a valedictory ceremony held in her honour at the Supreme Court in Accra, Sophia Akuffo said the country needs to be serious with legal education adding that it will help in producing lawyers who will do more good than harm.

The 13th Chief Justice of the Republic advised lawyers to eschew the practice of walking along the streets in their full robes.

She was full of praise for all the presidents in the 4th republic for their roles in her career.
