Painter, 22, in police custody for murdering grandmother

The Ashaiman District Court has remanded into Police custody a 22-year-old painter, Shadrack Hushie for murdering and burying his 72 year old grandmother in her residence at Zenu, a suburb of Ashaiman.

Narrating the fact in Court, investigator on the case, Detective Corporal Francis Ametor, said on the 15th of this month, the Complainant, Jonh Hushie, a cousin of the deceased, Patience Hushie, lodged a complaint with the Zenu-Atadeka Police that Patience Hushie has been missing since April 20th, and firmly believed that the suspect knows her where about.

Detective Corporal Ametor said in the course of investigations, the Police gathered intelligence which pointed to the fact that the suspect has murdered the deceased and buried the corpse in an uncompleted building close to the deceased house.
