Some parents are calling for the closure of Accra Girls Senior High School following reports that some of the students have tested positive for COVID-19.

One parent in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana said the authorities are refusing to disclose the real issues on the ground.

He said there is great anxiety among parents and their wards, with some children appealing to be sent home as they are living in fear.

On reports that parents were billed one hundred and fifty cedis (GHC150.00) as their wards resumed school, the Chairman of the Parents Teacher Association of the School, Nana Pandzi said the money was regular dues of the parents.

He said the Association is yet to meet the School Authorities on the situation.
