Parliament has reconvened this morning after going on recess on March 31.

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, in a statement recalling the MPs for the Second Meeting of the Third Session of the Eighth Parliament, said proceedings will commence at 10:00 a.m.

Parliament adjourned sine die for the Easter festivities in March after passing the controversial three revenue bills presented to the House by government seeking to boost domestic revenue mobilisation.

Speaking to our Parliamentary Correspondent Augustus Acquaye, he said the House is expected to consider a report by the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Chief Justice nominee, Justice Gertrude Torkono, the Proper Sexual Human Rights Bill, and review the Mid-year budget, among others.
