The Ghana Medical Association (GMA), says the failure of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) to pay health facilities both public and private for services rendered from September 2018 to May 2019 is of great concern.

In a statement issued at the end of the Association’s 19th annual public lecture and national executive council meeting in Cape Coast, GMA called on government and NHIA to pay all monies owed these facilities with immediate effect.

This it said will ensure these facilities are not forced to revisit the cash and carry mode of payment in their quest to ensure continuous service delivery and also forestall their collapse.
