The Airport District Police have arrested one Samuel Boateng for allegedly stealing smart Phones from victims who are mostly ladies.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Afia Tenge, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Accra Regional Police Command, said that Samuel’s modus was to win the confidence of the victims and later propose love to them.
She said in the course of the conversation with the victims, the suspect would request to exchange phone numbers with them and would bolt with the cellular phone when he has lay hands on it.
DSP Tenge said luck eluded suspect when in his bid to escape he fell into the hands of a mob who nearly lynched him but for the intervention of the Police.
The PRO said four other victims had made similar complaints against the suspect who used the same modus on them.
