Reports from Kumasi say about 70 % of all the Billboards mounted at some vantage locations in Kumasi by New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Executive aspirants have been voluntarily removed.

This is in compliance with a directive by the party hierarchy to remove all such Billboards and posters prior to the party’s National delegates conference scheduled for the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at the weekend.

The directive further asked the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah to issue a 24- hour ultimatum to ensure compliance.

A visit to some entry points where the posters were displayed showed that they have been removed.

In an interview with GBC News in Kumasi, a Leading member of the NPP, Dr. George Ayisi Boateng was happy about the high rate of compliance, an indication that those affected have full respect for the law and that of the party which is supreme.
