President Akufo-Addo has asked supporters of the NPP not to be complacent in their quest to retain the party in power.

He said elections are not won until the last ballot is counted and asked supporters to go all out to convince the electorate to come out and vote during the election.

President Akufo-Addo stated this when he met members of the Greater Accra Association of Assembly members at the Jubilee House.

He said the atmosphere in the country is good for the party and promised logistical support for the Association to campaign for the party.

Spokesperson for the Association, Stephen Kwasi Acquah, asked members to disregard the promise by the flagbearer of the NDC to pay Assembly members.

He alleged that the NDC in 2012 and 2016 made a similar promise in their manifesto but could not fulfil it. He said the economic and Political successes chalked up by Government are phenomenal.
