Anfoe: NDC parliamentary candidate for North Dayi files nomination

The Member of Parliament for the North Dayi Constituency in the Volta Region, Jocelyn Tetteh, has filed her nomination to contest as Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

She submitted her nomination forms to the District Office of the Electoral Commission (EC) at Anfoe amidst wild jubilation with hundreds of “okada” riders leading her through some principal streets.

As part of procedures to contest the parliamentary elections in December this year, some parliamentary candidates have commenced filing their nominations at the various district offices of the Electoral Commission (EC) across Ghana.

Enthusiastic supporters of the party gathered at Vakpo to show support for the North Dayi parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress, Jocelyn Tetteh amidst brass band music and some cultural performances.

Her arrival on a motorbike threw the supports into frenzy. Hundreds of “okada” riders led her through some principal street of Anfoega amidst brass band music.

She then submitted her nomination forms to the District Office of the Electoral Commission which was duly accepted.

Jocelyn Tetteh under her leadership as an MP, undertook some significant projects. She particularly provided thermometer guns to all 180 churches in her Constituency during the COVID-19 pandemic and also helped replace the use of of Gongong with public address systems to almost all communities which did not have. Joycelyn Tetteh supplied over 20,000 bags of fertilizers to farmers during the raining season.

Addressing party faithful after filing her nomination forms, Ms Jocelyn Tetteh, lauded supporters for coming out in their numbers to send clear signals that the victory of NDC was in sight.

She urged party supporters to ensure that the fortunes of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in terms of votes in the constituency dips to send the party back into opposition to enable the NDC come to implement the various human centered policies in their manifesto.
