Police in the Bono East Region have arrested five persons for causing unlawful harm and damage at the Bono East NDC regional office.
The suspects, Kojo Agyei, Illiasu Sulemana, Andrew Kemire, Fatau Abdallah, and Alhaji Nuhu, were nabbed for their alleged involvement in attacks at the NDC regional party office at Techiman on July 28, 2022.
A statement signed by the Bono East Public Affairs Director, ASP Amponsa Bosie Dankwa, said during the attacks, one person sustained multiple knife wounds and is currently on admission at the Techiman Government Hospital.
The sliding windows of the party office and a vehicle that was parked at the office were also vandalized.
The suspects are expected to be put before court on Monday, August 1, to face justice. The police service has urged individuals and groups to choose dialogue over violence to resolve their differences.
