The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has entreated all parties contesting the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary polls to engage in campaign based on issues and track record devoid of insults and violence.

He asked them to make national peace and cohesion the centerpiece of their activities and utterances.

He said even though many African countries conducting elections this year are struggling to maintain the required tranquility for their peoples and development, Ghana could remain exemplary if all the players in the electoral process commit to peaceful electioneering before, during and after December 7.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu gave the advice in Kumasi, when the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia paid a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia Palace.
