By Edzorna Francis Mensah

The First Deputy Majority Whip and the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuagon in the Greater Accra Region has begun a series of programmes to retain her seat and, if possible, help the party goes beyond the conventional eight-year term.

Lydia Seyram Alhassan has indicated that the constituents have a message and a good product to sell to the public for the upcoming 2024 general elections and called on the few who are not yet part of the train to join hands in unity in order to work together to break the eight in the 2024 general election.

The lawmaker is confident of winning again irrespective of whoever the NDC presents in December 2024, as she has shown that she has championed massive developmental projects in the constituency during the four years under review.

“I have worked and am still working tirelessly since my election, and my work can be seen in all 13 electoral areas.”

According to Seyram Lydia Alhassan, the New Patriotic Party is the most attractive political party in Ghana today, and it is the only party that attracts university students. “the NPP is the only party that wins the tertiary institutions in the capital”.

Madam Seyram, who led the constituency executives for the Health Walk Talk dubbed “energizing the base to break the 8”, asked the constituents to get involved in the upcoming District level elections while urging them to register during the upcoming limited registration period in order to vote when the time comes.

She was accompanied for the walk by the Deputy Majority Leader and MP for Efutu, Alexander Afenyo Markins.

On his part, the Greater Regional Organizer of the NPP, Prince Obeng, called on the party supporters to work hard for the NPP to win again.

He said that despite the fact that the economy is currently under pressure, times will be better in no time. They walked from Fiesta Royale Hotel Junction to Dzorwulu through some the principal streets and converged at Abelenkpe Astroturf.
