The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Cyril Fayorsey, has commended the Bank of Ghana for taking drastic measures to sanitize the banking sector.
He further called on the Bank to prosecute the Directors of the collapsed banks.
Speaking at the 2018 Synod of the Global Evangelical Church, he said the amount of money used to bail out the collapsed banks can be used for other social interventions.
Rev. Dr. Fayorsey also called for wider consultations on the SHS Double Intake System.
He commended government efforts in ensuring every qualified student makes it to the SHS.
He also commented on the removal of Mrs. Charlotte Osei, as the Chairperson of the EC and subsequent appointment of the Mrs Jean Mensah as her replacement.
He called on political parties to support the new EC Chairperson.
Rev. Dr. Fayorsey supported call for the regulation of Churches.
