Disbandment of vigilante groups should not be sole responsibility of NPP, NDC – CDD-Ghana

Deputy Executive Director of CDD-Ghana, Dr Franklin Oduro says the disbandment of party vigilante groups should not be seen as the sole responsibility of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He however supports calls by the NDC for serious mediation in an attempt to disband the groups.

He said actions of these groups do not affect the two parties alone but the country as a whole, therefore there should be mediators to monitor the action plans that the two parties will deliberate on at their meeting as proposed by the NDC.
