A Political Marketing Expert, Dr. Kobby Mensah, has expressed disappointment at the Proposal by the Majority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu that says Constituencies should be encouraged to endorse incumbents in order to avoid losing too many seats as witnessed in the 2020 elections.
Dr. Mensah described such proposals as unnecessary as it defeats the principles of democracy within the party.
”I think I am disappointed in that particular proposal. If you think that because the party has lost a lot of seats and therefore you want to protect the seats current MPs should be allowed to go without any competition, I think that is very very unfair and is very unnecessary for him to actually say that because it actually defeats the entire principles of democracy that we talk about,” according to Dr Mensah.
