EU Election Observer Mission to arrive in Ghana tomorrow

The European Union says it will deploy an EU Election Observer Mission (EOM) to Ghana to observe the December 7 General Election in response to an invitation by the Electoral Commission.

Consequently, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission.

Josep Borrell, has appointed. Javier Nart Member of the European Parliament, as Chief Observer.

A statement issued by the EU High Representative and Vice President said Mr. Nart would be leading a core team of the EU Election Observation Mission, consisting of nine election experts, who will arrive in Accra tomorrow and stay until the completion of the electoral process.
